POLL OF THE DAY: AM I A TERRORIST?

POLL OF THE DAY: AM I A TERRORIST?

One issue that many people feel strongly about is cruelty to animals, and yet many children know little or nothing of how their meat and dairy is produced. Please watch this video and consider if this type of awareness raising should be compulsory viewing for all schoolchildren.

But BEWARE!!

The political climate is that protesting against animal cruelty is increasingly becoming illegal: thinkprogress.org/health/2013/02/26/1634531/five-more-states-ag-gag/ - in the USA there is even an Animal Rights Terrorism Act which brands anyone who tries to get people to consume less cruelly processed animal products as a terrorist:

"Basically, the law is saying if you cause an animal enterprise to lose profits, then you've committed a terrorist act... The whole point of many protests is to cause a business to lose profits, to convince the public that a certain company doesn't deserve to be patronized." www.motherjones.com/environment/2011/12/are-animal-rights-activists-terrorists

en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Animal_Enterprise_Terrorism_Act

In the USA, if it caused school children to eat less McDonald's burgers for example, showing this video would be considered a terrorist act.

And there are many in Australia who want a similar law: www.smh.com.au/environment/animals/australia-risks-copying-us-aggag-laws-to-turn-animal-activists... www.abc.net.au/news/2013-07-18/animal-rights-activists-27terrorists272c-says-nsw-minister/4828556

Do you agree with the USA law? Does damage to the meat and dairy industry outweigh concerns about animal cruelty to such an extent that raising awareness should be a criminal act - an act of terror?

Does posting this video on this site make me a terrorist?
It is proposed that showing this video in schools should be considered a terrorist act
